We did the Cinematography and film look for Adventures of the Blue Sword, which Chris Cantwell directed for the Channel 101 show Everything. Break.com wanted something where an exterminator is killed by traps. Dave wrote and directed. James was the Director of Photography. No time for 3D VFX, so we did it all in-camera.
Something’s wrong with us. Ghostlight did the Cinematography and Visual Effects for this disturbing short by Invisible Engine. Chris’ character shoots himself in one of those old theme park music video booths. First, the blood effects were added using Visual Effects. Then the green was replaced (poorly) by footage we shot on our iPhones. Then we ran it through a VHS deck while messing with the tracking. Alfred Montejano created the VHS audio flaws. Starring Chris Cantwell, Matt Wyatt, Sean Bury, and Hesley Harps.

Director Chris Cantwell needed Cinematography and Visual Effects for this very strange self-interview portion of a reel submission. It’s a fairly basic “split-screen” technique until Chris walks in front of himself, casting and receiving his own shadow.
Hesley Harps needed scenes for her actor’s reel. This one was written and directed by Chris Cantwell. James was the Cinematographer and both Dave and James appear in the scene. Enjoy!
We shot, edited, and created the VFX for this short film with pilot Craig Dyer to showcase his piloting skills, plus those of everyone involved. Krantz is a dark comedy written and directed by Chris Cantwell. James was the Cinematographer. The film was shot on the RED ONE, which shoots 4K resolution and uses 35mm lenses. James used overly-dramatic lighting and tilt-shift lenses to emphasize John Krantz’ warped state of mind. Many thanks to Chris, Brad, Ken, and the entire crew!

Ghostlight shot this joke video for a medical company which required an office to be infested with butterflies. We cut out paper butterflies, which were lightly taped to the walls and actors, then blown with fans. For the butteflies in the air, we used computer animation.
Dave shot and directed this during film school at USC. It stars Aaron Fischer and Trevor Peterson.
