We made Nick Clark fly in an ad for Revver.com, produced by Invisible Engine. This video shows how we did the Visual Effects, but we also did the Cinematography. Enjoy!
We created this Visual Effect for College Humor’s latest short comedy series. What’s that you say? You want behind-the-scenes info with more details than you care to know? No problem! Just click the image and enjoy.
Ghostlight made this video for a DVD company that wanted to show what an in-store game might look like. Our friend Joey Boukadakis wrote the concept. We created the game’s interface, color scheme, mechanics, menus, buttons, doors, shifting backgrounds, TVs, confetti, and so on. Thanks to Joey and everyone involved in this project.
We shot and edited this video, which shows lovely scenery in Calaveras County and is used to promote the county’s beautiful filming locations and other activities.
Adam Ray TV won the Best New Pilot Award at the ITV Festival! We shot and edited a collection of sketches for our buddy Adam Ray, which were combined into the 22 minute TV pilot. Beware the mature content and enjoy!
We just received our new Canon XL-2 this morning! The XL-2 has an improved lens for a sharper picture and can shoot 24 frames per second, just like film. It’s already being used on some visual effects tests that we’re not at liberty to discuss, and we love it.
The 3D train we created for The Prototype has been accepted into the Lightwave 3D Gallery! Lightwave is the program we used to build and animate the train, so we’re thrilled they selected our work for display! You can read what other artists thought of the train on the Lightwave Discussion Forum.
The Newscast and Strange Day musicals, written and directed by our good friends Aaron Fischer and Rebekah Melocik, are now on DVD! Ghostlight shot, edited, and created these DVDs with nice menus, behind the scenes, and slide shows.
Today, Ghostlight grabbed some film gear and shot an opening title sequence for an Invisible Engine intro. Chirs, Matt, and Sean supplied us with a really nice film stock and we wandered around LA shooting random fun stuff in slow and fast motion. Here’s some of the raw footage!
James helped out our buddies over at Invisible Engine by doing the Cinematography for one of their short films. He also was forced to appear in a minor role in the movie.
Czech Daze has won both the Director’s Award and the Cinematography Award at the Trenton Film Festival! I guess they don’t give out awards for Editing, huh Dave?
James spent his last day shooting behind-the-scenes video today for the film Shiloh Falls. The footage will be used for Extra Features on the film’s DVD!
Anne Moore, Director of the charming documentary Czech Daze, had some credits added to her film after being accepted into the Trenton Film Festival. Congratulations, Anne! Our buddy Glenn over at Hemanes Design also hooked her up with posters and postcards. Dave was second editor on the film.

We created some cool Visual Effects for The Harvest, a horror film about revenge from beyond the grave. Here’s how we replaced this actor’s eyes with scarier ones!
Ever wonder how Disneyland does those amazing fireflies? Well, this ain’t it. We used Visual Effects to populate this scene from The Harvest with tons of 3D fireflies. Here’s how we did it!
Dave has been Editing a short film called Rushers for some time now. Today was the final day of re-shoots for the film. Since we’re also doing the Visual Effects, we tagged along to help supervise a big VFX shot.
See behind-the-scenes photos! See everything Rushers!
Tonight were the last performances of the musicals Newscast and Strange Day. Ghostlight provided news graphics for “Newscast” and produced a DVD of both shows. Congratulations to Aaron Fischer, Rebekah Melocik, and everyone involved!
