Dave and James finished shooting the 3-day long L.A. Office Road Show today. We got to see sneak peeks at upcoming films and shoot many bands performing live.
Continuing our work on Ken Codeglia’s P-51 Mustang DVD, we filmed interviews with three Tuskegee Airmen at the former Alameda Naval Air Station. We had a great time today and thank everyone for helping us out.
We finished a complex visual effect shot for Hewlett-Packard today. Producer Mike Hull gave us footage of a man with a laptop in India, which we had to blend into a giant camera zoom out into space, looking back at Earth. HP used the shot in a presentation about providing internet access to remote areas.
James got his third nose job today. Just kidding. We returned home from a week-long shoot in Nashville, Tennessee. We were hired once again by Balentine Evans to film and edit 6 plastic surgeries. Thanks to Craig Hammill for operating that third camera. Scrubs!
Today Chapman University held it’s annual Filmmaker Awards. Dave edited a director’s reel for writer/director David S. Ward, which was well-received by students and parents.
Today concludes Dave’s 3rd day in Vancouver, Canada. He was hired for a medical video shoot as an Editing Supervisor, since Ghostlight will edit the project.
“Carter’s Wish” screened at USC’s “First Look” film festival. Dave was a Production Designer on the film. Congratulations to the director, Kevin Shahinian.
Congratulations to our friend Craig Hammill for screening his film “The Cleats of Imminent Doom” at USC’s “First Look” festival. James was 1st assistant camera on the film. Dave helped out.
Production began today on a DVD focusing on the P-51 Mustang and the pilots that flew it. First up was an interview with WWII ace Robert Goebel, author of “Mustang Ace.”
(“to-all-um-knee”) We created this video for the Tuolumne County Film Commission. It appears at tradeshows and on their website to promote the county’s beautiful filming locations. The music was composed and performed by Aaron Fischer.
Ghostlight shot this joke video for a medical company which required an office to be infested with butterflies. We cut out paper butterflies, which were lightly taped to the walls and actors, then blown with fans. For the butteflies in the air, we used computer animation.
James has returned from 4 days of filming in San Jose, CA for Leigh High School’s new promotional video. It will be shown to a large audience of 8th graders and parents.
